Neuronal Repair and Axon Regeneration in CNS Postdoctoral training positions are available to study neuronal repair and axonal regeneration in the CNS in the Shriners Hospitals Pediatric Research Center (SHPRC) at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. SHPRC provides excellent research facilities and environment for studying the mechanisms of neuronal repair, regeneration and plasticity. The research in our lab is particularly interested in studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying axon regeneration, cell death, CNS injuries and neurodegenerative disorders (for details see J Neurosci 31:14051-66, 2011; J Neurosci 30:963-8, 2010; J Neurosci 28:8914-28, 2008; J Neurosci 27:4154-64, 2007; J Neurosci 24:10511-20, 2004; J Neurosci 23:4219-27, 2003; Neuron 38:187-99, 2003 and Nature 417:547-51, 2002). Highly motivated individuals with a strong background in animal models, behavioral tests, axonal injury, molecular and cellular neurobiology and biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent in the field of neuroscience, molecular/cellular biology, biomedicine or biochemistry. Please send c.v. and brief description of research interests to: Shuxin Li, MD, PhD Associate Professor Shriners Hospitals Pediatric Research Center Temple University School of Medicine 3500 N.
