Joint Postdoctoral Positions at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC—at the University of Trento, Italy) and Harvard University.

The Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC; University of Trento, Italy) in conjunction with the Cognitive Neuropsychology Laboratory (Harvard University, Cambridge, MA) is currently seeking to fill a postdoctoral fellow position in neuroscience. Researchers should be interested in the structure and organization of cognitive, linguistic, perceptual or motor processes as revealed through the analysis of the performance of brain-damaged subjects or neuroimaging. The ideal post-doc will have a doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related area. Strong candidates will have extensive research experience in designing and implementing neuropsychological experiments and in analyzing neuropsychological data or extensive with functional neuroimaging. Strong writing skills in English are essential.

The Center for Mind/Brain Sciences offers an international and vibrant research setting in which to investigate the functioning of the brain through the analysis of its functional, structural and physiological characteristics, in both normal and pathological states. Researchers at the Center make use of state-of-the-art neuroimaging methodologies, including a research-only MRI scanner, MEG, EEG and TMS, as well as behavioral, eye tracking and motion tracking laboratories. The Center also includes a neuropsychology and neuro-rehabilitation clinic (CeRiN). The Center strongly encourages collaborative and innovative research, and provides the opportunity for all researchers to access laboratory resources and has close collaborations with local research centers, including FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler) and IIT (Italian Institute of Technology), through joint projects and through the doctoral school. English is the official language of the CIMeC, where a large proportion of the faculty, post-docs and students come from a wide range of countries outside of Italy. CIMeC's labs and the PhD School are in Rovereto (about thirty kilometers south of Trento) and Mattarello (eight kilometers south of Trento). Funding is available for 3 years. The initial contract would be for 2 years.

Position requires primary residence in Italy (about 9 months/year) with planned visits to the CNLab at Harvard (about 3 months/year).
