Postdoc Description
Madhukar Trivedi, M.D., Director of the Mood Disorders Research Program and Clinic within the Department of Psychiatry at the UT Southwestern Medical School seeks postdoctoral fellows to participate in his Mood Disorders Clinical Intervention Training (MDCIT) program. This program is designed to train post-doctoral fellows who wish to pursue careers as clinical researchers in mood disorders. The program has three components: (1) a core curriculum with both didactic and workshop formats, (2) three required supervised clinical rotations, and (3) a mentored multiyear experience designed to assist trainees in developing and implementing research funding at the conclusion of their training program.

Dr. Trivedi’s MDCIT program is open to MDs who have completed general psychiatry residencies and individuals who have earned PhDs in clinical psychology. Trainees will have the opportunity to work with distinguished faculty from a variety of disciplines at UT Southwestern. Research opportunities include studies of treatment effectiveness and translational work with child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Specific research areas include adult and adolescent mood disorders, psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, clinical genetics, health disparities and health services research, among others.
