The Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a 1-2 year clinical/research postdoctoral fellow to work in the lab of Dr. Robert DeRubeis. Duties include: 1) managing and analyzing data from a large NIMH-funded RCT of antidepressant medications combined with cognitive therapy for chronic and recurrent depression, 2) collaborating on lab-wide research efforts, 3) conducting independent research projects, 3) coordinating a cognitive therapy training practicum including conducting phone screens and managing the wait-list, 4) administrative tasks related to research, such as managing IRB protocols and outside requests for data. Other opportunities, such as individual supervised clinical experience, and research on complementary and alternative medicine approaches to bipolar illness are also available. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in treatments for adult depression, including cognitive therapy and medications, the ability to work both independently and on a team, and strong quantitative, clinical, and interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those individuals who are interested in developing a career in clinical research.
