Psychology: Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct and evaluate research, in conjunction with Procter & Gamble (P&G), on measurement of implicit beliefs, attitudes, evaluations, and physical and emotional responses to consumer goods and/or marketing messages; conduct independent research; collaborate on research with one or more faculty in department; supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in research activities, including assisting in training activities at the university’s Center for Human Psychophysiology. Position is for one year with potential renewal for a second year dependent on funding and performance. There may be limitations on publishing results involving proprietary information. Require: PhD in social or cognitive psychology (or closely related field) prior to start date of position; expertise in implicit cognition and implicit measures. Desire: ability to integrate biometric measurement techniques (especially eyetracking and facial EMG), ability to translate expertise to an applied consumer context, and interest in collaboration with current Miami University faculty.
