Convention Press PolicyThe Association for Psychological Science (APS) welcomes media participation at its 25th Annual Convention. The following policies are in place for registered members of the press attending the convention. I. Embargo Policy This embargo policy applies to the 25th Annual APS Convention 2013:
For journalists, this policy means that anything already made public (for example, abstracts, online preprints, published papers) is fair game. II. Press Attendee Policies Meeting Admission Registered media are required to wear the APS’s media badge at all times while on site at the annual meeting. Entry into sessions requires a badge. A reporter’s credentials may be revoked for abuse of any access or privileges obtained. Registered media may attend the following programs and sessions at no charge:
Registered media do NOT have complimentary access to the following programs and sessions:
Photography, Video Taping, and Audio Recording APS has the following policies regarding the use of video and audio recording equipment at the 25th Annual APS Convention:

Interviews An interview room may be reserved by registered media through the press room staff. Use of this room is by appointment only and is subject to availability. Please contact Lucy Hyde by e-mail or by phone at 202-293-9300 for any special requests related to media facilities above and beyond what is approved by APS. Pre-meeting interviews are available for reporters interested in speaking with researchers whose work is featured in the APS press program, as well as APS spokespeople. Please note that all pre-meeting interviews follow the same embargo policies. APS reserves the right to grant press privileges to individuals on a case-to-case basis. Media are highly encouraged to pre-register by e-mailing, faxing, or mailing the registration form to the Association for Psychological Science. |
