The Role of Nature and Nurture in Social Development: A Comparative Perspective

Cross-fostering experiments and the use of the candidate gene approach in studies of rhesus monkeys have allowed us to examine the relative contributions of genetic and experiential factors to interindividual variation in social development as well as to identify some of the neuroendocrine mechanisms underlying genetic and environmental effects.
