| Chair:
Jay McClelland
Stanford University |
A framework for thinking about the nature of semantic knowledge will be presented. The framework explains phenomena in development, adult semantic cognition, and in the disintegration of semantic knowledge in dementia. The phenomena, the tenets of the framework, and simulations addressing key elements of the supporting evidence will be described.
