Invited Talk
Social Regulation of Human Gene Expression
| Chair:
Steve Cole
University of California, Los Angeles |
Recent studies have identified broad alterations in human gene expression under adverse social conditions. This talk surveys emerging themes regarding the specific types of genes subject to social regulation, the biological signaling pathways mediating those effects, and the role of genetic polymorphisms in moderating socio-environmental influences on human gene expression.
