Invited Talk
Neuroimmune Interactions in Autism
| Chair:

[Email Presenter]
University of California, Davis |
Autism is a heterogeneous disorder that is increasingly thought to have multiple etiologies and trajectories. Investigators at the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute have been evaluating the potential role of immune dysregulation both in children with autism and in their mothers as possible factors in the development of autism. My talk will briefly review the literature on immune factors in autism and then discuss recent data demonstrating the plausibility of an autoimmune etiology for one form of autism.
