The Psychology of Learning and Motivation

Successful learning and performance is determined by the interaction between people’s motivational state and the reward structure of the task, which determines the degree of cognitive flexibility they bring to a task. This work has implications for phenomena such as choking and excelling under pressure and reactions to stereotype threat.
