Spontaneous Emotion Inference From Situational Information Using Listen-And-Read False Recognition Confidence Procedure

This research examined if people infer other people's emotion spontaneously from situational information. To test this possibility, we developed listen-and-read false recognition confidence procedure, and showed that the confidence for the false recognition was significantly stronger when the consistent emotion words were added to the situation than the inconsistent ones.
