Festschrift for James Greeno
This Festschrift, sponsored by the Association for Psychological Science, Lawrence Erlbaum and Associates, Stanford University, the Cognitive Science Society, and the University of Pittsburgh and its Learning Research and Development Center honors Jim Greeno and his lifetime contributions to the understanding of human learning, focusing on mathematics in natural and school situations. The celebration begins with a banquet on Saturday, May 27, and continues with a day long program on Sunday, May 28. Three sessions focus on the transitional periods in Jim's research across mathematical modeling, cognitive science, and the situative perspective through his current research directions, and include an opportunity for live video analysis. The day concludes with an address by James Greeno. The program features a distinguished group of current and former colleagues and students.
