Abstract
Plagiarism analysis of 4835 assignments from an Introductory Psychology course showed that: a) 22% of the assignments contained a phrase longer than 18 words that matched the textbook, b) this type of plagiarism occurred more as the semester progressed, and c) students who wrote more were more likely to plagiarize.
