Abstract
To examine neurobehavioral changes associated with HIV infection, 4-month-old HIV-1 transgenic rats were tested in a fear conditioning paradigm. Compared to controls, HIV-1 transgenic rats displayed slightly, but significantly, greater freezing behavior to the context and an auditory CS during acquisition and extinction.
