After 20 years, the Association for Psychological Science is leading
the way for scientific psychology and its representation at the national
and international level. Thousands joined us for this very special convention
as APS celebrated 20 years of continued success. The 20th Annual Convention
and Exhibit Hall featured commemorative activities and celebrations

Convention Profile
The APS Annual Convention offers a variety of programs that span across all disciplines of scientific psychology. The program consists of symposia, invited presentations, themed sessions, and posters that present cutting-edge data and technologies, as well as proven theories in the field.
Last year's Keynote address was given by Shelley Taylor, University of California, Los Angeles, a researcher who studies social relationships and how they are protective against stress.
Laura L. Carstensen, Stanford University, provided the Bring The Family Address on Saturday evening. Her research focuses on the social, emotional, and cognitive processes that people use to adapt to life circumstances as they age.
Additionally, APS President, John Cacioppo, University of Chicago, led his esteemed colleagues in discussion during the 2008 Presidential Symposium on Friday evening.
Inside the Psychologist s Studio was back for another round with Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman, Princeton University, in the hot seat.
The APS Annual Convention also offers many social events and networking
opportunities, receptions, coffee and snack breaks, and poster sessions.
Many of these events are held in the Exhibit Hall to maximize your visibility
and contact with attendees.
