Convention Profile
The APS Annual Convention offers a variety of programs that span across all disciplines of scientific psychology. The program consists of symposia, invited presentations, themed sessions, and posters that present cutting-edge data and technologies, as well as proven theories in the field.
This year's Keynote address will be given by Shelley Taylor, University of California, Los Angeles, a researcher who studies social relationships and how they are protective against stress.
Laura L. Carstensen, Stanford University, will provide the Bring The Family Address on Saturday evening. Her research focuses on the social, emotional, and cognitive processes that people use to adapt to life circumstances as they age.
Additionally, APS President, John Cacioppo, University of Chicago, will lead his esteemed colleagues in discussion during the 2008 Presidential Symposium on Friday evening.
Inside the Psychologist s Studio is back for another round, this year with Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman, Princeton University, in the hot seat.
The APS Annual Convention also offers many social events and networking
