Abstract:
The focus of this roundtable discussion workshop is survival during the early years as an assistant professor. This workshop features editors and contributors to the new edition of The Compleat Academic. In the tradition of the 1987 edition, The Compleat Academic is a resource for social scientists that discusses such topics as the hiring process in academia, post-doctoral positions, and how to succeed as an assistant professor.
